That’s what Siamese cats are like. I would have hoped you knew that already before you got one as they do require a greater degree of attention that your average cat, and are considered the least independent of the feline breeds. Give him the attention he deserves and needs minimally as a Siamese. Above this threshold, you can encourage him to be a little more independent in some things. For example, I work a lot at my desk, and find it uncomfortable having my Siamese perched on my lap for too long. So, I pull up a chair and put his favourite basket (a comfort zone if you will) on it where he can sit next to me. You can then move the basket further away as time goes on, and he will go there. Of course another cat might help, or dog even if you cat is young enough. (I owned a Persian as well as a Chocolate point some years ago, and they were inseparable: of course a high intelligence breed is a more desirable companion for your Siamese to relate and bond to.
