Why is Parkinsons so hard to diagnose?
Diagnosing Parkinson’s can be a challenge in part because some mild Parkinson’s symptoms at first just seem like the universal effects of aging — a tremor in the hand, difficulty balancing and shuffling the feet. “I think everybody gets a little Parkinsonian as you get older,” says Dr. Clive Svendsen, who is studying stem cell therapies for Parkinson’s at the University of Wisconsin.
