Why is pneumonia not considered to be a contagious disease?”

0

Most people know that pneumonia is started with a chest cold. After having that chest cold for a while the bacteria from the virus can start to accumulate in the lungs and turn into pneumonia. Most of the time people can overcome these germs and get better, but if the cough persists or turns worse than you might have pneumonia. Pneumonia itself is not contagious, but the original virus that started the cold is. Each person’s lungs determine whether or not they will get it. If you have strong and healthy lungs, then you have a better chance of not getting it. But, if you have weak lungs, due to illness or injury, then you will be more apt to have the virus turn into pneumonia.
