Why is pool coping cemented down using mortar rather than being glued on with adhesive?

Other companies may glue a homeowner’s pool coping down with adhesive because it is cheaper and much easier for contractors to install. But Truly’s uses mortar because if a pool liner ever becomes damaged and needs to be replaced, if the coping around the pool was glued on, the coping would have to be removed to access the liner. By cementing the pool coping down with mortar, the liner track is still visible therefore if the liner does need to be replaced, it can be replaced without damaging or removing the pool coping.
