Why is Quebec the ideal province to be married in Canada?
Quebec was one of the first three provinces in Canada to offer full legal marriage to same-sex couples with all of the same rights and responsibilities. As a province, Quebec has been particularly open to gay men and lesbians with respect to being the first to include sexual orientation into the Quebec Charter of Human Rights in 1977. In addition, Quebec is the most progressive province with respect to gay and lesbian parental rights.
