Why is st paul important to christians?
St. Paul founded many Christian communities in the Jewish diaspora and among gentiles. His letters to these communities are the oldest writings about Christianity (most scholars say the Gospels were written later.) By the time the Christian followers of Jesus were expelled from the temple, the majority of Christian communities were already using the letters of Paul in their worship in addition to the psalms and other sacred writings of the Jews.
