Why is the divorce rate high in America? Why does American have a high percentage of married cheaters?

I don't think every marriage ends because someone has cheated. In America we have become a disposiable society. I am doubtful that my wife or I would cheat due to our devotion to God and his commandments but as I have tried to be a good husband to my wife I know that she is not happy. I will continue to pray that she learns to be a better wife and step-mother but if that doesn't happen I will consider divorcing her. We have tried counselling but my wife only agreed to one session and then when the counselor wanted to arrange the next session my wife declined. I consider the fail of my current marriage to be solely my wife's fault. So she may not cheat but she didn't devote herself to me and my adorable sons.  more
