Why is the site divided into campuses?
Since U of T Bookswap was designed specifically for University of Toronto students, users can post and browse books specific to their own campus. This serves several functions: 1) Buyers and Sellers are closer to each other (ex: both Buyers and Sellers who attend the UTM campus can find each other). 2) Keeps textbooks for the same course together even if different books are used in different campuses (If both UTSC and St. George offer a STA 101 course, books from St. George are not confused with books from UTSC). 3) Division into programs allows you to be notified when new books in a specific program are posted. If you are searching for a particular English book at UTM, you can select to be notified when English books are posted at the UTM campus. 4) Having the site divided in this manner makes it easier for users to navigate the site and find the books they need.
