• FamilySearch Support has been producing operating installation discs for nearly 10 years now. Periodically we release a new version that includes improvements and updates that have come out since the previous version. These discs are vital to family history centers in providing them with operating systems to install on their PCs. Without them, their computers would be useless. The WinXP SP3 Desktop 5.9 DVD is the latest release that is available. • FamilySearch Support makes operating system installation discs available to family history centers for their convenience. If a FHC is more comfortable installing Windows from scratch or maintaining your own image, that is fine. However, if you are using operating system installation discs not provided by FamilySearch Support it must have a valid license, be compatible with products and programs used by family history center patrons. In addition, if issues arise, local units will be responsible for resolving them.
