This longer bobbin rod is included in your package so that you have the option of using stand sized spools of thread with your Sew Crafty Mini. Remember though that use of a larger spool of thread is an advanced technique and you have to keep an eye on the thread and ensure that it doesn’t fall off of the tension dial.
