A25. The discernable boundary is where GOES-East and GOES-West data are composited. The current compositing procedure does not use inter-satellite-calibrated temperatures or brightness values. This problem will be corrected for NWS AWIPS/NOAAPORT users when NESDIS re-hosts the process which is required for Y2K compatibility. That work is currently in progress. Other GOES/NOAAPORT users should consult their data and/or software providers.
