Sales Tax laws govern how we tax our products and our service. Bakery items, for example, are not taxed, unless you sit down. We are required under California State Sales Tax Laws to charge each customer sales tax on all items consumed at a table. All prepared foods are always taxed and bakery and snack items are sales tax exempt when taken off premises for consumption. Our cash registers are programmed accordingly.
