Why is there an account transfer feature in the Bill Payment Service?

We DO NOT recommend that you use this feature. If you would like to transfer funds real-time between your American Bank accounts, we recommend that you select Transfer Funds from the left side menu on the Accounts Page. Funds transferred to other American Bank accounts through the account transfer feature within the Bill Payment Service will NOT be available until approximately two (2) days later.
