Why is there moisture on the oven window?

If you’re baking something that’s high in moisture, such as a casserole, it’s normal for a little moisture to collect on the oven window. If not, the moisture is probably excess water that’s left over from cleaning the oven window. If so, just wait for the oven to cool, then wipe off the window. If you need any more assistance, please contact an authorized Maytag service provider. Back to top Why is there a strong odor when I turn on the oven? If your range is new, this is normal during the first few times you use the oven. If your range has a self-cleaning feature, running it will help burn off the smells more quickly. Turning on your ventilation fan will help remove smoke and odors during the cycle. If you’ve had your range for a while, check the oven bottom for food soils, which can cause odors when the oven heats up. If you find them, cleaning the oven will probably solve the problem.
