Why isn’t GUST 0101 taught like a regular class where the instructor lectures at the same time in the same room?
Unlike most classes that concentrate on one area, GUST 0101 covers many varied areas. The best way to learn information is to hear an expert in that area discuss that information, so workshops/seminars are given on specific topics. You are allowed to select the workshop/seminar in which you are interested. If this information were given in a class format, you would be required to listen to all information rather than information that pertains to just you. The “Seek and Find Activities” require you to learn the information concerning HCCS by doing rather than by listening. If you are required to do the activities, you are more likely to retain the information of where the service is located and how it pertains to you.
