Why isn the NIV available on the Unbound Bible?

Many people write to ask us why we don’t include the NIV, or other popular modern English versions, on the Unbound Bible. Although we have asked from time to time, we have never received permission to include the NIV on the Unbound Bible. We’d be glad to include any version of the Bible on our site, but we need permission from the copyright holder to do so. If there is a version you want us to include, find out who the copyright holder is and how to contact them. We’ll gladly ask for permission, and put the Bible on Unbound Bible if permission is granted.
