Why isn there any amplitude modulator for the visible regime?

0

Unfortunately, we cannot supply an amplitude modulator for the visible regime. The Models 4103 and 4104 amplitude modulators can only be used in the 1-1.6 µm wavelength range. At wavelengths below 1 µm, the lithium niobate crystals used in these amplitude modulators are susceptible to photorefractive damage. Around 633 nm, the Models 4103/4104 cannot be used with more than 1 mW of optical power, or the crystals will be damaged.
