Why kids don prefer as recommended by healthy food pyramid?

It’s just what they’re used to. I’m not a vegetarian, but I could live comfortably without meat. I hate meat. On the other hand, I can’t have enough vegetables. There are so many different kids, flavors and recipes, you can be sure no veggie will ever bypass my plate. But that’s just the way we live as a family. Then again, I have a friend who cringes at the very thought of vegetables and won’t even consider eating something if it doesn’t have meat or sugar in it. That’s how she was raised, when she’s hungry her parents give her money and send her to a fast-food place. Summing up, I think that the sole reason for that is the upbringing. Parents need to take responsabillity of their kids’ food preferences. No one was born a picky eater and no child will starve themselves. If you tell them they have to eat a certain thing before they can get anything else, they eventually will eat it.
