WHY MINOR IN LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES?
With a Latin American Studies Minor, you will gain a great deal of international experience and knowledge. The Latin American Studies Minor is designed to promote the critical and interdisciplinary understanding of the peoples, arts, cultures, politics, economies, and history of the region. With faculty guidance, students combine their minor field of study with a focus on Latin American geography, history, politics, cultures and languages. Recently added program areas highlight economic development and international business. Many students expand their global awareness by traveling abroad to study in Latin America during the academic year and/or summer. The Latin American Studies program sponsors several events and discussions during the Fall and Spring semester. For more information about the Minor, contact: Dr. Angelica J.
