Why Modular Homes cost less than “Site-Built” Homes?
A. Indoor construction protects the houses from damage. Exposure to the elements while a “site-built” house is being constructed often leads to cost overruns and can affect the building quality. By purchasing the materials in bulk, there are significant cost savings on materials. Further, because the materials are stored indoors, they are not purchased per project as often as “site-built” homes. Therefore, the volume of materials purchased is generally much greater and the savings passed on to the consumer. The manufacturer builds the same plans over and over again and there is no time or material wasted.
