Why must Muslims eat Halal and are prohibited from eating pork?
Iranian, great wisdom, but swine flu is a sweetheart compared to bird flu so might i suggest you stay away from chickens also. PS if bird flu mutates again we are all shat on, swine flu may just be the dress rehearsal. I don’t eat pork as it is minging but i must point out to the nice lady above, in a temperate climate pork is safe, the only thing you are going to catch is obesity: I have heard of BSE Salmonela (chickens and eggs) deadly Botulism and other deadly nasties caused by nuts, poorly cooked poultry, etc etc…. I have never EVER heard of any of the ones you mentioned…nada, not one. Pork is mostly eaten as bacon and ham in the UK, this has been preserved and all the nasties have been killed.
Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well.
Halal are things that is considered good and nutritious and wont harm you in anyway, and as in meat, they should slaughter it in the name of Allah with sharp knives so that the animal will die instantly without suffering. Pork are prohibited because, the pigs were created to eat filthy things. They are not for human consumption.
Halal meat is killed in a different way, we consider that way to be cleaner (in Islam one of the big things is cleanliness) loads of examples but wont go into that now or we’ll be here forever lol. Pork isn’t eaten because it is seen as dirty meat because, if you think about it, your eating whatever the animal eats- that’s feces, rotten food etc….yuck! don’t want to think of what pigs eat right now, ive just eaten lol. Halal meat is killed then hanged up to drain out all the blood, whilst it is being killed there is a prayer said over it at the same time, a quick prayer just to thank Allah for the food he has given us and also praying for the animal. A muslim is allowed to eat pork under 1circumstance- There is NO other food around at all whatsoever and eating pork is the only way to stop yourself starving to death.
