Why no Easter Rising Special at Easter?

Well, many undoubtedly will, but I decided to break with tradition here. Because even though the Easter Rising happened at Easter 1916, it is a historical event. And a historical event should, in my eyes at least, not be celebrated as a moveable feast, timed according to the lunar calendar. Just why Ireland has chosen to remember the rebellion of 1916 on Easter is a puzzle. Normally we would celebrate a historical event on the date it happened in this case April 24th come hell or high water. Maybe the snazzy moniker Easter Rising was always too confusing, leading to the inadvertent celebration at Easter. But then, the former USSR celebrated the October Revolution in November because calendars changed. Maybe there is a psychological reason behind this.
