Why not ask all employees to start contributing more to health care?
An increase in the employee share for health benefits for administrators and most of the district¹s union groups was implemented in the fall of 2005. This increase is expected to save $1.4 million in the first 10 months. Obviously, negotiations with unions are necessary to make additional changes.
