Why not drop taxes instead of the pork barrel legislation they passed?
Pork Barrel generally refers to “I don’t like”… The majority of the the legislation passed deals with funding programs that need to be funded (extended unemployment benefits, health care) and aiding state governments that need help. The next chunk is tax cuts. The final portion, the smallest part of the proposed legislation, is new spending that will create jobs, stimulate the economy and start a cycle that will bring the economy up. A little research on the subject before the “attitude” question might be a good thing.
Pork Barrel is such an overused word. Usually it means they funded a project you don’t agree with instead of you wanted. When taxpayers make well thought out, specific suggestions on how to collect and apply taxes, and submit them to their elected representatives, it has a real possibility of helping.
