Why not forward spam to uce@ftc.gov?

The FTC has asked people to forward their spam to a special mailbox (uce@ftc.gov). (See link to an article on their site below.) I have a couple of addresses that, for whatever reason, have gotten on spammers’ lists. I just create an SMTP forward for each one and now everything is automatically sent to the FTC–not to my inbox. You could do the same for the catch-all address. No more filtering or using up an Excite, Yahoo, or Hotmail account. The FTC says they get an average of 10,000 spams every day at that address. If we forward all of our spam to them and kicked that up to 100,000 or 1,000,000, perhaps the government would finally do something about spam. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2001/04/spam.
