Why oversize rather than life-size shapes?
A.W.- We are lazy, using oversize duck decoys cuts our rig by 1/3. In other words, the visual impact (visibility) of an oversize rig allows us to use less duck decoys to achieve the same result as with maybe twice as many life-size duck decoys. When hunting big water, a duck decoy rig can somewhat negate the efficiency factor . In vegetated cover such as thick rice beds, bulrushes, flooded brush and timber, it s hard to beat the visibility of oversized duck decoys.
