Why reduce cholesterol?
A high cholesterol level, especially the type known as Low Density Lipid cholesterol (LDL) has been identified as a major risk factor for heart disease. To some extent, cholesterol levels are determined by heredity. However, most people can lower high cholesterol levels by attention to diet, exercise, and sufficient daily intake of fiber. Why Fiber?
