Why round time?
Most users need more or less coarse granularity in time presentation. Typically, the precision of one minute is too fine. So, you may decide, or your organization’s reporting practices may require that time be rounded, say, to 15 minutes. Use your handheld preferences dialog to set this parameter. It’s just a convenience; in no way does this setting prevent you from specifying the precise time when needed.
