Why should I become a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society?

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa brings many benefits. Active members have numerous opportunities to participate in a wide variety of activities to fulfill their own interests, develop new skills, and contribute to the campus and community. When applying for a job, a scholarship, or admission into a specific program, all activities in which you participate can be listed to set you apart from the other applicants. Regardless of your participation level, though, the following benefits are available to all members: • Members have access to the Scholars Office in Clock Tower (contact Lori Garrett, Director of Scholars Programs, for details). • All members receive the prestigious Golden Key Membership Pin. • All members receive the impressive gold-embossed Certificate of Membership, which is a wonderful addition to your portfolio. • Members may affix the Societys Gold Diploma Seal to their two-year college diplomas. • Membership is noted on your transcript. • Members may wear the Societys gold
