Why should I get my water tested for Total Coliform/E.coli?
Good Question!! The NYS Department of Health recommends that all private wells and springs be tested annually for Total Coliform. This is because as a homeowner you are responsible for the quality of your drinking water. Public Water supplies are required to have their water tested on a regular basis to make sure it is free of coliforms. Are you drinking bottled water because you are afraid of your tap water?
