You really do get what you pay for. A child is not an experienced pet care professional. Ask yourself these questions? Will they be able to tell the signs of illness in your pet and know how to respond? How will they transport them to a vet if the need arises? Will they even remember to come by? Can they really be expected to follow feeding and medication directions? Low cost pet sitters are usually just wanting some extra money. Many do not realize how much work is involved and the long hours associated with pet sitting and may burn out quickly. Some may have a full-time job they must work around or they may find something better to do with their weekends when you need them the most.
