Why stoopid man play?
Given all of its flaws, Arcanum is still a wonderful RPG experience. The world of Arcanum feels alive as you travel though it. Right from the very beginning, your characteristics and statistics play an important part in determining your play experience. For once, the people around you will take notice of your choices. The populace of Arcanum will react to your race and professional allegiance to magic or technology. Stupid characters will speak like idiots and will jot down notes in their journal that reflect their limited literary skills and their poor ability to comprehend. Not only that, the various characters in the game will react appropriately. When an idiot, half-orc fighter tries to open up a discussion, it is not uncommon to see folk get frustrated as they try to communicate with this mental midget, assuming that they even bother talking to the disgusting half-breed creature.
