Why Study History at Eastern Oregon University?
At Eastern you will not be an anonymous face in a huge lecture taught by a graduate student. Our program size allows us to work closely with our students to improve writing mechanics, develop critical thinking skills, and become informed readers. Lower division courses are often limited to 35 students, while upper division courses frequently enroll between 10-15 students. All of our History courses are taught by faculty who are subject matter experts and active scholars in their respectice fields. We balance teaching and research to give students access to the latest ideas in the field of history while continuing to emphasize passionate and quality teaching in a small classroom setting. The EOU History Department offers a robust online curriculum that complements our campus offerings.
