0

The BA Special Educational Needs (SEN) degree prepares you to work with children with SEN across all age ranges and in a variety of settings. It provides opportunity to explore the context in which children are defined, diagnosed and labelled as having special educational needs. You will also consider the challenging concepts of equal opportunity, inclusion, children’s rights, working in partnership and a holistic understanding of childhood. The degree includes areas of particular interest such as behaviour management, dyslexia, working within the multi disciplinary team, the role of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and international perspectives.
