Why take on the “Bark in the Park” title sponsorship?

I am involved with the Animal Control Commission here in Seattle. I am one of the commissioners that are appointed by the mayor. I also just believe in community work. Our business is taking care of cats and dogs. We will always, no matter where we are located in the U.S., tie in with some kind of animal organization. Do you consider it cause marketing? Yes, it does help in growing our brand. We’re doing joint marketing with these organizations; we give financially and also promote them. They are a very key part of our business. So we promote their services on a regular basis; they get that for free. In our advertising, we use their logos and their name to help subsidize the cost of marketing. What are you doing to promote “Bark in the Park”? For this next month leading up to the event, we’re spending $10,000 on advertising. Actually, today, I’m going to the recording studio to record our commercials for radio ads that start next week. And then we’re doing bus advertising on the sides
