A barefoot baby and her mother were kicked out of a Burger King by the restaurant’s manager in St. Louis, Missouri. Jennifer Frederich brought her baby daughter into the restaurant barefoot and ordered food. The manager told her, “you can order ‘to go’ but you’re going to have to leave if she doesn’t have shoes on, it’s against health code.” Frederich said “…She’s only 6 months old, she doesn’t walk. She’s not touching the ground.” The manager insisted she put shoes on the child and threatened to call the police. Sources: http://www.mahalo.

All Jennifer Frederich wanted was a nice lunch out with her mother and daughter, but it turned into a big problem when the employees of a St. Louis Burger King took the “No Shirt, Not Shoes, No Service” policy a little too far. Once the trio had sat down to eat, they were asked to leave because Frederich’s six-month-old daughter wasn’t wearing any shoes. The employees claimed that it was a health violation and that Frederich and her child couldn’t stay. A Burger King spokesperson has since apologized for the mistake and clarified that no shoes isn’t a health violation it is just a store policy. Frederich and her family have been offered a free meal for the inconvenience. Sources: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/08/06/national/main5219581.
