Benito Mussolini was the Italian dictator. His black shirts marched into Rome in Oct. 1922 and he established himself as dictator by any means he could, including murder. He was a bully to other nations and his people. He formed an axis with Germany and Hitler. In 1940 he entered the second world war. In 1943 his power began to wane and he resigned on July 25. Soon after he was arrested, but was rescued by the Germans. On April 28, 1945 he and other Fascists were caught at Lake Como by the Italians. A short trial was held, he was shot and his body exposed to insult in Como and Milan.
