Why was Ghana chosen as a primary recipient?
I was born in Ghana and lived there for over 15 years. Members of my family currently reside there and this gives me special insight into the current needs of the people. The items sent to deserving individuals benefit them greatly because they are freely donated. The Foundation funds local representatives who drive considerable distances to deliver the items to the needy people. Donated clothes to Ghana are a big financial relief to the beneficiaries because of the high cost of living, and its attending lower standard of living in this third world nation. Our work in Ghana supports our mission to alleviate poverty, disease, and suffering in developing countries world wide.
