But it was more then that. John F Kennedy was an extremely handsome and charismatic man (maybe the most charismatic that has ever held the White House). There was something almost regal about him and his beautiful young wife. America hadn’t seen a young couple like this in the White House, with their very good looking kids, in a very long time. They were the ideal image of a ‘royal family’. JFK and his brother Robert were also very idealistic. They wanted to help the lowest class in America in the early 60s, the black population, get a leg up and realize the American dream. They wanted to remove corruption in the unions.
