Why was NIMS/ICS Pro Edition developed when there are so many resources available?
The Incident Command System (ICS) has been in existence since 1980, thus there are a number of training documents and classes available. As a majority of students are visual learners, the NIMS/ICS Pro Edition was developed to address the needs of these students by showing them the Incident Command System in use, and by reinforcing the course material through compelling interviews with top emergency management officials. Additionally, the program provides consistent unbiased training that is effective not only for initial training but also highly useful for continuing education programs.
