Ronnie never wanted people "gawking" at his body. Judy remembered that he had always said that and wanted to respect his wishes. Over the past twenty years many rumors and stories have developed that have Ronnie being horribly disfigured or even decapitated in the crash. This is simply not true. Ronnie had one bruise roughly the size of a quarter on his temple. Other than that Judy and Lacy both recall him looking like he was simply asleep.
