Why was the application for the building permit withdrawn?

0

The pending Master Use Permit (MUP) application period was taking longer than anticipated. We withdrew the MUP application, the building permit application and the grading permit application to help facilitate completing the tree removal in the time period that was safest for students, staff, and the trees that will remain. Because these trees do not qualify as “exceptional trees” under the existing City codes, the District is not required to get permits to remove them. Our desire to move forward with tree removal during the dry months would have protected the trees that will remain on the school grounds. It would also have allowed tree removal before students returned to school, keeping them safe and reducing disruption to classes.
