Dubai is opening the tallest building in the world today after the construction was completed last year on October 1st. It took a while to add the final touches to the Burj Dubai, but we think it was worthwhile as tourists around the world visiting Dubai can now enter the 818-meter tall building and probably struggling not to look down. The Burj Dubai skyscraper is more than 160-stories high and it’s more of a vertical city rather than a structure as you can find everything there (I didn’t get the opportunity to check, but I think there’s a small sports stadium as well). Although the crisis doesn’t seem to be over in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai received about $25 million in 2009 from Abu Dhabi in order to clear its debt and complete the tallest building in the world, Burj Dubai.
