Why will sea level rise when the Arctic ice is already in the sea?
What’s the point of doing anything if the emerging economies will eventually be polluting on a larger scale than us? Why can’t the Earth deal with it, surely it’s all just part of the weather cycle? Why are there so many reports in the press saying that it’s all just theory? The list goes on. I’m sure many of you have similar questions. The whole subject became very clear when I watched the Al Gore DVD, “An Inconvenient Truth”. I thought it excellent and would recommend it to everyone. He, and others, have likened global warming scepticism to the pro-tobacco lobby misinformation that was disseminated when scientists first linked smoking with lung cancer. A few scientists are disputing the science that says we are responsible because of excessive production of greenhouse gases (GHG).
