Why will the Unitours Participants not going in the Pilgrimage Extensions miss the Closing Mass on Saturday morning?
The Unitours flights were booked before Dr. Hilgers made the arrangements for this special Closing Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in June 2007. Cardinal Stafford is only available on Saturday morning, and not on Friday evening to do this for us. The Board understands that this may be a disappointment for some members, but there is still the option of making independent travel arrangements for those who would like to attend this Mass before leaving the meeting. This means you will be claiming your luggage in Newark, and rechecking it to Rome.
