Why won my Pichu evolve?
The following Pokemon evolve by Tameness (aka Happiness): Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Golbat, Azurill, Chansey, Togepi, Eevee. You must pamper these Pokemon until their Tameness reaches a certain point. This number is again hidden. These are the only ways to increase your Pokemon’s Tameness: Pokemon gains a level (3 or 5 points) Pokemon receives a vitamin (2 points) Pokemon is in your party (1 point/512 steps) The Soothe Bell will increase points gained. Tameness is lowered if the Pokemon faints (10 points) or “bitter” items are used on it. Tameness is NOT affected by the Pokemon’s health, status condition or placement in the PC.
