The logon window in the Mac machines Apple Computer Co. upgraded its system software for the iMacs. In an effort to make the computer more secure to tampering, the programmers dropped the “Save name and password” feature that was in the older Macintosh computers. It still appears in the chooser as an option, but it does not work. Therefore, every iMac must have server passwords manually entered at startup. It’s a simple matter of entering “ar” when the “Connect to AR4” window appears, and entering nothing when the “Connect to KMS MacMuseum” window apears. If the cancel button is clicked for these windows, then the logon process has to be done from the Chooser before using AR, or accessing Teacher Groups files.
