Why would I want to play the original Baldurs Gate using the BGII game engine?

First, you can now play the game at greater resolution than was possible with the original BGI engine. Second, you also get access to the improved graphics offered by the BGII engine. Third, and perhaps most important for Mac-heads, it allows you to play the original BGI game natively in OS X (no more running in classic or booting into OS 9 to play BGI). Also, when Apple introduced the new Mac-Intels (Macs powered by Intel processors) in January 2006, it was announced that these machines would no longer run OS 9.x either natively or via a Classic layer within OS X. Therefore, BGITutu may be the only hope of playing this insanely GREAT game on these new machines. I say may be because Im still awaiting feedback from anyone who has/hasnt successfully done this on a Mac-Intel.
