Why would most crops have difficulty growing in areas of sand and gravel?
Most crops need plenty of nutrients to grow. Sand and gravel just let the nutrients go straight through when it rains. And they don’t hold water well either so that drains away and the plants hardly get any of it. If you’re trying to grow crops in a sandy area, dig out the sand and soil already there, put some fertilizer, preferebly a slow-release fertilizer in the bottom with a better quality soil on top.
That’s a pretty stupid question because everybody knows it and we don’t grow plants in sand and gravel. In my opinion, it is better to Grow Lights there. I know that it may sound silly but you get beautiful lights for your house or your yard. I know a site with good lights and I wanna recommend it to you. Your garden will be much better
