Why would you want to have encrypted queries to keyservers? Isn the data that they hold essentially public anyways?

The point is to stop the leakage of key query information that could otherwise tell you interesting data about someone. we’d like to find ways to provide encrypted transport to the keyservers, and get the other encrypted keyservers (and the clients, such as gpg) to provide this missing feature.
